Style

The set contains a board printed on the front side for the medieval game "Alquerque," which is believed to be the origin of checkers, and on the back side for the traditional Madagascar game "Fanorona". 

As appendices, in addition to the rules for Alquerque and Fanorona, rules for three original games that can be played on these boards, Alquad, Sight, and Collapse, are included.

Since the pieces are the same as those in the other generic board sets, it is possible to purchase the set without the pieces. Also, Generic Pieces can be purchased as additional pieces.

The 15mm discs have been changed from Chinese to German manufacture as of June 2025. Due to differences in manufacturing and painting methods, the appearance may differ somewhat from previous products. If you would like the previous Chinese-made product, please contact us.
