Alek Erickson 

American biologist, songwriter, and game designer living in Sweden. Enjoys simple, decisive, and evocative abstract strategy games.

Mike Zapawa 

Abstract game designer living in Warsaw, Poland. Slyde, invented in February 2020, has been his first serious project. Best known for inventing Tumbleweed, voted BEST COMBINATORIAL 2-PLAYER GAME OF 2020 on BoardGameGeek. Currently works as a boardgame instructor at a community center and volunteers as a scout leader.

 

Kevin Kane

Abstract Game Designer from Oregon, USA. Kevin's games, NXS and EVL, have been published on Board Game Arena, published by Nexus Games, and featured in Abstract Games Magazine. His game heXentafl was previously published by Nestorgames.

 

Dale Walton 

Game designer, puzzle creator. Best known for Octiles (1984, Kadon) and “The 5th Chair” puzzle (ThinkFun), he managed the line of abstract games for Pin (2000-2006).  More recently, he has invented a few dozen abstract games and scripted them for the Ludii Games Database. Enjoys playing complex tactical games, and his designs often explore unusual combinations of a few rules.

 

Kanare Kato

Abstract Game Designer & Publisher. Born in Japan, lives in Nagoya, Japan; debuted in 2020 with Saiju published with nestorgames; founded independent publishing label Kanare_Abstract in 2021; awarded BEST COMBINATORIAL 2-PLAYER GAME OF 2021 for Meridians.
