Queen's Guard
Queen's Guard
The first board game using a hexagonal board
Queen's Guard (also known as Agon or Royal Guard) is a game invented by Anthony Peacock in 19th-century England. It is considered to be the first board game to use a hexagonal board.
Players move their pieces initially placed at the outermost edge toward the center. If your piece is sandwiched by two of the opponent's pieces, you must use your turn to reposition it. The player who occupies the center and all the six spaces surrounding it wins.
Kanare_Abstract edition also comes with the rules of "Bloody Queen", an original variant with improved convergence for modern players.
