Abstract Play is an online gaming service specializing in abstract strategy games. A variety of abstract games can be played in turn-based (asynchronous) correspondence matches. it was founded out of SuperDuperGames, which ran until 2023.

Ai Ai

Ai Ai is a game engine programmed by Stephen Tavener. It can be used to play many classic and modern games against AI or other players. Thanks to Tavener's kindness, Saiju, Meridians and RosenKreuz (7×7 version) is implemented.

How to install: Download the latest version from the download page and run it. Java 11 is required to start. Saiju is included in ''Combinatorial2020'', Meridians and RosenKreuz are in ''Combinatorial2021''.


BoardGameArena

BoardGameArena (BGA) is the world's largest online board game service. More than 500 board games, including many well-known titles, are available for real-time and turn-based communication play. Many are available in Japanese.

Thanks to the kindness of Christopher Field (ManaT), Meridians is implemented.


BoardSpace.net

BoardSpace.net is an online gaming service run by Dave Dyer. Nearly 100 different games, mostly abstract strategy games, can be played in real time. Both app and browser are supported, and AI games are also available. It is partially translated into Japanese.

Ludii

Ludii is a game system developed by Cameron Browne as part of the Digital Ludeme Project at Maastricht University. It has multiple AI and analysis systems, and can try out a variety of old and new abstract games.

How to install: Download and run the latest version of the Ludii Player from the download page. To select Meridians, go to ''File'' ⇒ ''Load Game'' and select ''board'' ⇒ ''space'' ⇒ ''group'' ⇒ ''Meridians''.


Mindsports

Mindsports is a website run by Christian Freeling and Ed van Zon. Along with a number of Christian's games, the site features his focus on various abstract games by other authors and they can be played turn-based in a browser (or with some AI). The games on the Arena page have also a player rating system.

By the kindness of both of them, Meridians is implemented on the Arena.

 

Tabletopia

Tabletopia is an online sandbox system operated by Tabletopia Inc. It is available on web browsers, Steam, and apps. Users can move materials and play games in the same way as real-life components.

Tabletopia implements Kanare_Abstract's version of Tori Shogi (no extra pieces are implemented).
